Ramban, January 21,2026-In a significant step towards strengthening education infrastructure in tribal-majority areas, the district administration of Ramban distributed smart boards, furniture, mats, and inverters to eight government schools across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammed Alyas Khan, along with Chief Education Officer Mohammed Sultan Khan, oversaw the distribution of educational and infrastructural facilities aimed at improving the learning environment for students in remote and tribal regions.
Out of the eight beneficiary schools, five schools received support under the Dharti Abha Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, a flagship initiative focused on holistic development of tribal villages. Additionally, three schools located in the Gool area were provided infrastructure support under schemes of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The initiative is expected to enhance digital learning through the installation of smart boards, while new furniture, mats, and power backup systems will ensure a more comfortable and uninterrupted educational experience for students.
Officials highlighted that strengthening school infrastructure in tribal areas is a key priority of the administration, aimed at bridging the educational gap and promoting inclusive growth. The move has been widely welcomed by teachers and local communities, who see it as a positive step toward quality education in the region.
