Jammu/Srinagar, January 16, 2026:Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, on Thursday stated that the security forces in the Union Territory are fully prepared to tackle emerging challenges and ensure peace, stability, and public safety across the region.
Speaking at a review meeting with senior officials from the J&K Police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies, Dulloo emphasized the importance of proactive measures, modern infrastructure, and coordinated operations in maintaining law and order. He highlighted the commitment of security personnel in addressing evolving threats, including cross-border infiltration, terrorism, and other challenges affecting regional security.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need for continued vigilance, capacity building, and adoption of advanced technology to strengthen internal security and counter-terrorism operations. He also underscored collaboration between civil administration and security agencies to ensure quick response to any potential threats and safeguard the welfare of the people.
Officials present at the meeting briefed Dulloo on ongoing security initiatives, surveillance measures, and operational readiness of troops deployed across sensitive areas. Dulloo commended the efforts of J&K security forces and called for sustained efficiency in safeguarding public life and property.
The review reflects the Union Territory administration’s focus on strengthening law and order, border security, and internal stability, reaffirming J&K’s preparedness against emerging challenges while ensuring development and public confidence.
