Jammu, January 14, 2026:Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Wednesday interacted with the youth who represented the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at the 29th National Youth Festival – Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, held recently in New Delhi.
Congratulating the J&K contingent for their exemplary performance on the national मंच, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the young participants for showcasing innovation, leadership, and cultural excellence while representing the UT among the best talents from across the country.
During the interaction, Shri Manoj Sinha urged the youth to adopt four guiding mantras in life:
- Knowing one’s inner self
- Finding one’s inner voice
- Learning through experiences
- Fostering collaboration
He said that these principles would help young leaders contribute meaningfully to nation-building and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The J&K UT Contingent participated under two major tracks—the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track and the Cultural & Innovation Track.
Ms. Suvidha (Innovation with tradition: building a modern Bharat), Ms. Kum Kum (Building a future-ready workforce for Viksit Bharat), Ms. Mridul (Fit Bharat, Hit Bharat), and Shri Nitish (Building Sustainable and Green Viksit Bharat) were selected for the final PPT presentations and presented their ideas before Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
In another notable achievement, the J&K team comprising Shri Salik Aijaz Khan, Shri Saliq Bashir, and Shri Adnan Ferdos secured third position at the national level for their hackathon project A.N.T.S (Disaster Resilient System).
Additionally, Shri Sheikh Anzar Amin was selected for the PM Gallery for inventing an Automatic Gas Regulator for LPG gas heaters.
Ms. Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Youth Services and Sports; Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services and Sports; along with senior officers and officials who accompanied the contingent, were present during the interaction.
