Gulmarg, January 12,2026-Renowned Sufi scholar and spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah Sharif, Syed Salman Chishti, on his visit to Gulmarg, described the popular hill resort as “nothing short of paradise.” Impressed by the region’s natural beauty and improving infrastructure, he lauded the tourism initiatives undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to media persons, Syed Salman Chishti appreciated the efforts of the administration in promoting tourism and ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors from across the country. He noted that destinations like Gulmarg reflect the true spirit of Kashmir—marked by peace, hospitality, and cultural richness.
During his visit, the spiritual leader offered special prayers for peace, brotherhood, and harmony across the nation. He emphasised that Jammu and Kashmir has always been a land of spiritual coexistence and unity, adding that tourism plays a vital role in strengthening national integration.
Syed Salman Chishti also urged people from all parts of India to visit Kashmir, experience its beauty firsthand, and contribute to the region’s cultural and economic revival.
