Kupwara, January 11,2026- Reaffirming its commitment to peace, welfare, and well-being, BSF Kashmir organised a free medical-cum-veterinary camp under its Civic Action Programme at a remote location in Kupwara district.
The camp provided free medical check-ups and medicines to over 200 patients, while more than 50 animals also received veterinary examination and treatment. Doctors and paramedical staff attended to residents, addressing common health issues and ensuring access to essential healthcare services in the far-flung area.
Officials said the initiative aimed at improving community health, strengthening trust with local residents, and supporting both human and animal welfare in remote regions. The programme was widely appreciated by locals, who lauded BSF’s efforts in reaching underserved populations.
The civic outreach initiative reflects BSF Kashmir’s continued role beyond security, contributing to social welfare and community development in border areas.
