Kashmir, January 9,2026-Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo on Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed Public Toilet Complex at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, marking a step towards improving sanitation and public convenience in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the facility has been developed to enhance sanitation, accessibility, and basic civic amenities for visitors as well as staff members. He emphasized that clean and accessible sanitation infrastructure is essential for ensuring a dignified and hygienic environment in public offices.
The newly inaugurated complex is equipped with modern amenities and has been designed to cater to people from all sections, including women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. Officials said the initiative aligns with the administration’s broader efforts to promote cleanliness and improve public service infrastructure in Srinagar.
DC Srinagar also directed concerned departments to ensure proper maintenance and regular upkeep of the facility so that it continues to serve the public effectively.
The inauguration was attended by senior officers and staff of the district administration.
