Kashmir,January 5,2026-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday unveiled the poster of “The Last Dose,” an awareness film aimed at combating the growing menace of drug abuse, at Lok Bhawan. The film has been produced by Khwaish Gupta Productions and seeks to highlight the social, psychological, and health consequences of substance abuse, especially among the youth.
During the event, the Lt Governor congratulated the entire team associated with the film for taking up a socially relevant issue through cinema. He appreciated their efforts to use creative storytelling as a medium to spread awareness and inspire positive behavioural change in society.
Manoj Sinha emphasised that drug abuse is a serious challenge that threatens families, communities, and the future of young generations. He noted that awareness initiatives, films, and community-driven campaigns play a crucial role in strengthening the fight against narcotics by educating people about the dangers of addiction and the importance of timely intervention.
The Lt Governor extended his best wishes to the filmmakers and expressed hope that “The Last Dose” would reach a wide audience and contribute meaningfully to the national campaign against drug abuse. He also reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote a drug-free society, particularly those focusing on youth empowerment and prevention.
The unveiling ceremony at Lok Bhawan was attended by members of the production team, officials, and invited guests, marking another step toward harnessing the power of cinema for social awareness and public welfare.
