Gulmarg, one of India’s most sought-after winter destinations, has shed its recent silence as thousands of tourists arrive to welcome the New Year. Hotels, restaurants, and local businesses have reported increased footfall, with visitors enjoying snow activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and cable car rides.
Tourism officials believe the timely snowfall has worked like a “divine reset,” restoring the Valley’s winter appeal and providing much-needed livelihood opportunities for locals dependent on the tourism industry.
