Jammu, December 29 ,2025— Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Monday interacted with the IAS Officer Trainees of the 2025 Batch, who are on a five-day visit to Jammu as part of their Winter Study Tour (Bharat Darshan Programme).
The officer trainees are currently undergoing Phase-I training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration , Mussoorie. During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor shared valuable insights on governance, public service, and leadership, while highlighting the transformational journey of Jammu and Kashmir across various sectors, including infrastructure, governance reforms, social development, and economic growth.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the importance of integrity, empathy, and citizen-centric administration, urging the young officers to remain committed to public welfare and inclusive development throughout their careers.
The group of IAS Officer Trainees includes Ms. Muskan Srivastava (Haryana Cadre); Ms. Meghna Chakravorty and Ms. Mudita Bansal (West Bengal Cadre); Shri Deepak Godara (AGMUT Cadre); Shri Saichaitanya Jadhav, Shri Rahul Raghavan and Shri Aman Tiwari (Tamil Nadu Cadre); and Shri Venkatesh Banna (Andhra Pradesh Cadre). The group is led by Shri Umesh Kumar Meena (Rajasthan Cadre), with Ms. Vidhi (AGMUT Cadre) serving as the Associate Group Leader. Dr. Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, was also present during the interaction.
As part of their study tour, the officer trainees will visit the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, the India–Pakistan border, and undertake a city tour of Jammu.
The visit aims to provide the trainees with first-hand exposure to the administrative, developmental, and cultural landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, contributing to their professional training and sensitising them to governance challenges in diverse administrative environments.
