Srinagar ,December 28 ,2025— Highlighting the crucial role of young people in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava on Saturday described Kashmiri youth as “voices of valour and architects of destiny.” He said the aspirations, courage and creativity of the region’s younger generation hold the key to lasting peace and progress.
Addressing a youth-focused interaction programme, Lt Gen Srivastava emphasised that despite years of challenges, Kashmiri youth have shown remarkable resilience and determination. He noted that young people are increasingly excelling in education, sports, entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing positively to society and nation-building.
The senior Army officer stressed the importance of providing the youth with opportunities, guidance and a supportive environment to help them realise their full potential. He called for collective efforts by institutions, families and communities to channel youthful energy towards constructive and meaningful pursuits.
Lt Gen Srivastava also underlined the role of engagement, dialogue and skill development in empowering young minds and steering them away from negative influences. He reiterated the commitment of the security forces to support initiatives aimed at education, employment and social development.
The interaction concluded with a message of hope, encouraging Kashmiri youth to lead with confidence, uphold values of peace and harmony, and actively participate in shaping a prosperous future for the region.
