Pahalgam, December 25,2025-The Pahalgam Development Authority, in collaboration with the Tourism Department, has launched a vibrant Winter Carnival aimed at promoting tourism in the region. The event, showcasing Kashmir’s rich culture and heritage, has already attracted a mix of tourists and locals.
The carnival features a variety of cultural programs, traditional art exhibitions, local cuisine, and themed stalls, providing visitors with a colorful and immersive experience. Authorities said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to boost winter tourism in Kashmir and provide local artisans and entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their talent.
The Winter Carnival will continue until December 31, giving visitors ample opportunity to enjoy the festivities amid Pahalgam’s scenic landscapes and snowfall. Tourism officials emphasized that such events help in reviving local livelihoods, promoting Kashmiri culture, and attracting domestic and international tourists.
