Srinagar, December 18, 2025:Fire and Emergency aspirants in Jammu and Kashmir expressed their gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and BJP leader Ravindra Raina after the government terminated 103 firemen who were appointed through a fraudulent 2020 recruitment process.
Dozens of aspirants gathered at Srinagar’s Press Enclave, calling for a review of the additional evidence submitted in the case. They appreciated the government’s probe, stating that the inquiry was fair and has restored their faith in merit-based recruitment. “The past appointments were irregular. We respect the process and hope this ensures transparency in future recruitments,” they said.
The Jammu and Kashmir government had terminated the services of the 103 firemen after an investigation revealed serious irregularities and fraud in the 2020 recruitment, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to merit, transparency, and accountability in public service appointments.
