Bandipora, December 18,2025-The District Administration Bandipora on Tuesday organised an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) event under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, aiming to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.
The programme witnessed participation from students, youth, community members and officials, who were sensitised about the social, psychological and health consequences of substance abuse. Speakers emphasised the role of awareness, family support and community involvement in preventing drug addiction, particularly among the younger generation.
As part of the initiative, informative sessions, interactive discussions and awareness activities were conducted to encourage people to adopt healthy lifestyles and stay away from narcotics. The administration also highlighted the availability of counselling and de-addiction support mechanisms for those in need.
The event reflects the district administration’s continued commitment to the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign focused on reducing substance abuse through awareness, prevention and rehabilitation.
