Kashmir,December 13,2025-Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has called upon the police and security agencies to intensify efforts to curb terror financing and prevent radicalisation across the Union Territory. The directive comes amid ongoing measures to strengthen law enforcement and maintain peace in the region.
During a high-level review meeting with senior police officials, the LG emphasised the importance of proactive intelligence, stringent monitoring of financial transactions, and community engagement to detect and prevent the flow of funds to terrorist organisations. He also urged the police to implement modern technology and data-driven approaches to strengthen counter-terrorism operations.
“Preventing radicalisation and stopping terror financing are crucial for ensuring long-term peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir,” LG Sinha stated. He stressed the need for coordination between different agencies, vigilance at border and trade points, and awareness campaigns to educate citizens about the risks of extremist ideologies.
The meeting highlighted the police’s ongoing initiatives to trace suspicious financial activities, monitor online platforms for radical content, and enhance capacity-building among personnel. LG Sinha also directed officers to ensure swift action against groups or individuals involved in funding terror activities.
Officials said these measures are part of a broader strategy to maintain security and stability in the region while fostering an environment conducive to economic growth and social harmony.
