Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir: Following the successful completion of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army’s Romeo Force has launched a Territorial Army (TA) recruitment drive in Surankote town of Poonch district. The drive aims to provide young aspirants from the region an opportunity to serve in the Territorial Army and contribute to national defense.
According to officials, over 30,000 youth from various areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have registered to participate in the recruitment drive, which will continue until December 15. The drive includes rigorous physical and medical assessments, written examinations, and interviews, ensuring that candidates meet the standards required for service in the Territorial Army.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to engaging local youth, providing them with career opportunities, and fostering a sense of patriotism and discipline. Authorities emphasised that the recruitment drive is an important step in strengthening the Territorial Army while also supporting the aspirations of young residents of the region.
Officials have urged eligible candidates to participate actively and adhere to all guidelines during the recruitment process.
