Bandipora, December 7, 2025 — The week-long softball coaching camp at Bandipora concluded successfully today, bringing together young athletes from across the district for an intensive training session aimed at promoting the sport and developing local talent.
Organised by the District Sports Council in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Softball Association, the camp focused on enhancing participants’ skills in batting, pitching, fielding, and teamwork. Experienced coaches guided players through practical drills, tactical sessions, and fitness routines to improve overall performance.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the chief guest praised the participants for their enthusiasm and dedication. “Such camps are essential to nurture young talent and promote sports culture in the region,” he said. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence in softball.
The camp also emphasised the importance of discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork, equipping young athletes not just with technical skills but also with the values necessary for success in sports and life. Coaches expressed optimism that some participants would go on to represent the district and state in national-level competitions.
