Kashmir Ahead

LG Manoj Sinha’s vision reflected in call for precision medicine

Kashmir,December 5,2025: Delivering the keynote address at the Annual Conference on Pathology, a leading healthcare expert stressed that India’s healthcare system must urgently focus on enhancing diagnostic accuracy and reducing the time to treatment, especially as disease patterns become more complex and patient expectations for early, precise diagnosis continue to rise.

The speaker emphasised that mainstreaming the Precision Medicine approach through advanced diagnostic tests, molecular tools, and technology-enabled workflows is crucial for improving clinical outcomes. They noted that diagnostic laboratories across the country must invest in modern infrastructure capable of transforming medical data into actionable clinical insights for doctors.

A major part of the keynote underscored the increasing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data analysis in the diagnostic process. According to the speaker, integrating AI-based interpretation systems and analytical platforms can significantly improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce manual errors, accelerate reporting timelines, and strengthen the bridge between science and medicine.

The address also touched upon national and regional health transformation efforts. In Jammu & Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been consistently advocating for technology-enabled, transparent, and patient-centric healthcare delivery. Delegates observed that the priorities outlined in the keynote closely align with the UT’s ongoing push for upgraded medical facilities, digital infrastructure, and data-driven governance under LG Sinha’s leadership.

Participants—including pathologists, clinicians, researchers, and healthcare technology experts—agreed that India’s diagnostic ecosystem must rapidly adopt Precision Medicine tools, AI-driven methods, and advanced laboratory systems to meet global standards. The conference concluded with a consensus that collaboration between policymakers, medical scientists, and diagnostic innovators will be key to building a faster, more accurate, and patient-focused healthcare system.
