Srinagar, December 4, 2025 — Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, conducted a detailed review of ongoing developmental works under the District Capex Budget for 2025‑26, emphasising the need for timely completion of all projects.
During the meeting, Labroo interacted with officials from various departments, including Roads & Buildings, Public Health Engineering, Power, and Municipal Services, as well as block development officers and assistant commissioners of panchayats. He assessed the physical and financial progress of all sanctioned projects and directed departments to ensure that pending works are expedited without compromising on quality.
Highlighting the importance of transparency and accountability, the DC instructed that progress reports be updated regularly on the E-Nigrani Portal. He stressed that projects must adhere to their timelines to deliver essential infrastructure and services to citizens efficiently.
Labroo also called for close monitoring of all ongoing works, particularly those delayed due to logistical or seasonal challenges. He urged officers to maintain coordination between departments to avoid bottlenecks and achieve 100% completion of developmental projects within the stipulated financial year.
Officials assured the DC that every effort will be made to accelerate project execution while maintaining compliance with quality standards. The meeting concluded with Labroo reiterating that the success of the District Capex Budget depends on timely execution, fiscal prudence, and sustained administrative oversight.
