CM Omar Abdullah hands over appointment letters and regularisation orders to CPWs in Jammu

Jammu, December 4, 2025 – Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday personally handed over appointment letters and regularisation orders to a large number of beneficiaries at an official ceremony held in Jammu. The event included the issuance of appointments under SRO‑43 and RAS‑2022, as well as the formal regularisation of long-serving Contingent Paid Workers (CPWs) in the School Education Department.

Addressing the gathering, CM Abdullah emphasized that these appointments are not acts of favour but the fulfillment of rightful entitlements under government policy. He acknowledged that delays had occurred in processing pending cases, particularly for CPWs, and assured that the General Administration Department would take all necessary steps to simplify procedures and ensure transparency in future appointments.

“This government is committed to clearing the backlog of pending cases and providing timely relief to eligible candidates. The focus remains on transparency, fairness, and adherence to established policies,” the Chief Minister said.

The ceremony saw participation from senior officials, ministers, and beneficiaries along with their families. CM Abdullah urged the newly appointed and regularised employees to take their responsibilities seriously and contribute positively to public service.

The distribution of appointment letters and regularisation orders marks a significant step in the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline compassionate appointments and regularisation processes in the state.
