To deal with this disaster, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji had assured a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation plan along with providing vetted assistance. Today, the district administration has identified 189 houses in Ramban and the foundation stone for their construction project has been laid in front of you all. The construction of each house will cost approximately Rs 9,82,000. It will cost approximately Rs 18 crore to build all the houses. These will be prefabricated smart houses and are known for their robustness. In the last five years, more than 33,000 houses have been built for the poor in Ramban district alone under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin. The dream of owning a home has been fulfilled for 462 poor families of brothers and sisters living in the city. Eighty rural roads and 12 bridges have been constructed in Ramban district in the last five years at a cost of Rs 600 crore, LG shared. LG touched the pain point of Kashmir and he said as you know many patriots were brutally killed by terrorists loyal to Pakistan. For years these families had been waiting for justice, their eyes had become stone-like. The families of 13 such terror victims have recently been given government jobs. The district administration has also sent a list to the remaining ones. They will also be given appointment letters soon so that they can also live with dignity.
