Anantnag, November 27, 2025 — In a significant step toward strengthening urban housing infrastructure, 115 beneficiaries in Anantnag were awarded sanction letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0). The initiative aims to accelerate the government’s mission of Housing for All by providing affordable, secure, and sustainable housing to eligible families.
District officials highlighted that the distribution of sanction letters marks an important milestone in supporting economically weaker sections and low-income households. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting that the assistance will enable them to build dignified and permanent homes.
Authorities added that the district administration is focused on ensuring timely fund release, technical support, and faster completion of housing units under PMAY-U 2.0. The scheme continues to play a crucial role in improving urban living standards, uplifting vulnerable communities, and driving overall development in Anantnag.
