Reasi, November 25, 2025: A new milestone in community welfare and women-led entrepreneurship was marked today in Reasi with the inauguration of the “Didi Ki Rasoi” canteen at Government Boys Higher Secondary School. The facility was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner , who commended the initiative as a significant move towards empowering women at the grassroots level.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that Didi Ki Rasoi is more than just a canteen—it’s a platform that creates sustainable livelihood opportunities for women, enabling them to gain financial stability and economic independence. He added that such initiatives not only enhance income generation but also help women build confidence and leadership within their communities.
Students and staff welcomed the launch, noting that the canteen would provide hygienic, affordable meals while promoting a culture of self-reliance among local women’s groups. Officials from various departments were also present during the inauguration.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to supporting more women-centric entrepreneurial ventures and strengthening community-based institutions across Reasi.
