Baramulla, November 12,2025: The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna in the district, focusing on achieving time-bound targets and maximising public benefit.
During the meeting, the DC directed officers of KPDCL and concerned departments to ensure the timely and efficient execution of the scheme across all subdivisions. He emphasised coordinated efforts and community participation as key factors for the success of the initiative aimed at promoting solar energy and reducing household electricity costs.
The DC instructed officials to conduct extensive awareness camps to inform residents about the scheme’s benefits and eligibility criteria, ensuring that every deserving household in Baramulla is covered.
He also called for regular progress reviews at the subdivision level to monitor implementation and address challenges promptly.
Officials from various departments participated in the meeting, discussing strategies for smooth execution, monitoring, and reporting under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme.
