Jammu, November 10,2025: The 69th National School Games Taekwondo Championship was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and national spirit in Jammu and Kashmir, marking a proud moment for the Union Territory’s sporting community. Organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India , the championship drew participation from teams representing various states and Union Territories across the country.
The grand opening ceremony featured a colourful cultural program that celebrated India’s unity in diversity, followed by an impressive march past by young athletes showcasing discipline and determination. The event aims to foster sportsmanship, physical fitness, and national integration among the youth.
Officials from the Education and Sports Departments, along with distinguished guests from the SGFI, inaugurated the championship and extended their best wishes to the participants. They lauded the efforts of the J&K Sports Department for hosting such a prestigious national event, reaffirming the Union Territory’s growing status as a hub of sports and youth engagement.
The championship will witness intense Taekwondo bouts over the coming days as players compete for top honours, embodying the spirit of dedication, discipline, and excellence.
