DC Srinagar marks Gurpurab at Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara

Srinagar, November 5,2025:On the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo visited the Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara at Rainawari to join the devotees in celebrations and pay his respects.

The DC offered prayers and interacted with members of the Sikh community, extending his greetings and best wishes on the sacred day commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

Highlighting the teachings of peace, equality, and compassion propagated by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Labroo said that such festivals strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood that define Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural identity.

He appreciated the Gurudwara management committee for their arrangements and extended the administration’s full support in ensuring smooth conduct of the celebrations across the district.

Devotees in large numbers participated in the event, offering prayers and partaking in langar, symbolising unity and service to humanity. The atmosphere at the shrine was filled with devotion, kirtan, and the spirit of togetherness.
