DC Baramulla distributes sanction letters & seeds to beneficiaries

Baramulla, November 4,2025: Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa conducted an extensive inspection of various departmental stalls showcasing government schemes and welfare initiatives in Baramulla.

During the inspection, the DC distributed sanction letters, certificates, and seed packets among the beneficiaries of multiple welfare and agricultural schemes. The initiative aimed to encourage people to avail benefits under government programmes designed to promote self-reliance, rural entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood.

DC Minga Sherpa interacted with officials and beneficiaries, emphasizing the importance of transparency and timely implementation of all welfare schemes. He appreciated the efforts of departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Rural Development, and Social Welfare for ensuring last-mile delivery of services to the people.

He urged officers to create greater public awareness about government-sponsored schemes, particularly those focused on youth empowerment, women entrepreneurship, and farmers’ welfare.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals who expressed gratitude towards the administration for its citizen-centric approach and commitment to improving livelihoods in the district.
