Baramulla, November 3, 2025: The grand finale of the Police Volleyball Tournament concluded with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship at Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla, drawing huge crowds and showcasing the growing spirit of youth engagement through sports in Jammu and Kashmir.
Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), the tournament aimed to promote sports culture, discipline, and community bonding among the youth. The week-long event saw intense competition among several district teams, culminating in an electrifying final match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Senior police officers, including SSP Baramulla, were present at the closing ceremony. They interacted with players, appreciated their performance, and presented trophies and medals to the winners and runners-up.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Baramulla highlighted the significance of such tournaments in strengthening police-public relations. “Sports events like the Police Volleyball Tournament are not only about competition but also about connection. They help build trust, discipline, and unity within our communities,” he said.
The finale witnessed exceptional teamwork and skill, reflecting the rising standard of volleyball in North Kashmir. Locals and sports enthusiasts turned up in large numbers to cheer for their favorite teams, turning the event into a lively community celebration.
Participants and attendees praised the J&K Police for consistently organizing sports and cultural programmes aimed at channelizing the energy of the youth in a positive direction. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a commitment to organize more such tournaments in the coming months.
