Srinagar, November 2,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated the winners of the 2nd Kashmir Marathon 2025 during a special ceremony held at the Sports Ground, Polo View, Srinagar.
Congratulating the participants from 27 States, Union Territories, and 11 foreign countries, the LG lauded their indomitable spirit, sportsmanship, and achievements. He said the Kashmir Marathon has become a symbol of unity, peace, and vitality, showcasing the transformative spirit of the Valley.
LG Sinha highlighted that events like the Kashmir Marathon promote national integration, youth engagement, and sports tourism, while projecting Jammu and Kashmir as a vibrant, secure, and welcoming destination for athletes and visitors from across the globe.
He also appreciated the organisers, volunteers, and local communities for their collective efforts in making the marathon a grand success, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for sports and wellness in the Union Territory.
The event witnessed energetic participation, with thousands of spectators lining up along the picturesque Dal Lake route, cheering the runners and celebrating Kashmir’s new era of peace and progress.
