Srinagar, November 2,2025: The Kashmir Marathon 2.0 turned the streets of Srinagar into a celebration of endurance, unity, and scenic splendour, as over 1,500 runners from across India and abroad participated in the Valley’s biggest sporting comeback.
Participants described the Dal Lake route as “a dream track,” surrounded by misty mountains and cheering locals who lined the streets to support the athletes. The event showcased the spirit of togetherness and transformation in Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting a renewed sense of peace and normalcy in the region.
Organisers hailed the marathon as a powerful symbol of reviving sports tourism in Kashmir, drawing attention to the Valley’s breathtaking beauty and its growing reputation as a safe and vibrant sporting destination.
Athletes and visitors alike echoed a shared sentiment: “We didn’t just run a marathon — we ran through heaven.”
