Srinagar, October 30,2025: An artist captivated visitors by painting a live portrait of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the ongoing art and craft exhibition titled “Soulful Kashmir – Know Your Artisan” at Poloview, Srinagar, on Thursday. The event aims to celebrate and promote the rich artistic heritage, craftsmanship, and creative traditions of the Kashmir Valley.
The exhibition, organised to showcase the diverse talents of local artisans and painters, featured a range of artworks reflecting the essence of Kashmiri culture — from traditional papier-mâché and Pashmina weaving to contemporary fine art. The live portrait session of Omar Abdullah became a major attraction, drawing art enthusiasts, tourists, and locals alike.
Officials and organisers highlighted that “Soulful Kashmir” serves as a vital platform for artisans to exhibit their creativity, interact with audiences, and gain recognition for their craftsmanship.
