Srinagar, October 30,2025: Continuing its efforts to curb the growing menace of substance abuse, the Srinagar Police today organised a Drug De-addiction Awareness Programme at Vishwa Bharti College, Rainawari, under the theme “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life.”
The event aimed to educate young minds about the harmful effects of drug addiction and encourage them to embrace a healthy, positive lifestyle. Students from various departments participated enthusiastically through motivational speeches, skits, songs, and creative performances, all centred around the message of building a drug-free society.
Senior police officers addressed the gathering, emphasising the crucial role of youth in spreading awareness and acting as ambassadors against drug abuse. They also highlighted the Srinagar Police’s ongoing initiatives under the Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Programme, which includes counselling sessions, awareness drives, and collaboration with educational institutions.
Teachers and students appreciated the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police in reaching out to educational institutions to strengthen community engagement and raise awareness about drug prevention.
The programme concluded with a pledge by students and staff to stay away from drugs and help others in their community do the same, reinforcing the message — “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”
