Baramulla, October 25 2025: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, flagged off a rally from Old Hospital Baramulla under the “Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0”. The initiative aims to create awareness among youth about the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle.
Students from ANMT School actively participated in the rally, along with local officials, holding banners and posters to spread the message against tobacco consumption. The campaign emphasises the importance of youth engagement in public health initiatives and aligns with broader efforts to curb tobacco usage in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials urged students and the community to take a pledge to remain tobacco-free and encourage others to adopt healthy habits. Such campaigns are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure a healthier and aware younger generation.
