Srinagar, October 6,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday emphasised that the growth and development of Jammu and Kashmir are directly linked to the empowerment and progress of its youth. Speaking at an event dedicated to youth engagement and skill development, the LG highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to creating opportunities that enable young people to lead the Union Territory’s journey toward prosperity.
“Youth are the architects of J&K’s future. Their aspirations, innovation, and energy are the driving forces behind our developmental roadmap,” LG Sinha said. He underscored the role of education, entrepreneurship, and employability in shaping a resilient economy and reaffirmed the government’s focus on providing platforms for youth innovation and leadership.
The LG elaborated on various flagship initiatives launched under the Mission Youth, Skill Development Mission, and Startup Policy, which have empowered thousands of young men and women across urban and rural areas. He stressed that inclusive growth can only be achieved when youth participation in governance and development becomes the core of policy-making.
Highlighting the achievements in recent years, LG Sinha noted the establishment of new educational institutions, incubation centres, and industrial training programs, which have expanded career prospects for the younger generation. He also commended the role of youth in maintaining peace, progress, and social harmony in the region.
“Jammu and Kashmir’s transformation is being written by its youth — through innovation, creativity, and a sense of purpose,” he said, encouraging young citizens to become change-makers and contributors to India’s growth story.
