Srinagar, October 6,2025 – The 69th National School Games-2025 was inaugurated today by the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir at the TRC Stadium, Srinagar, marking the beginning of a nationwide celebration of youth sports. Over 4,000 young athletes from across India are participating in a variety of competitions, including Football, Wushu, Taekwondo, and Table Tennis, showcasing talent, skill, and sportsmanship.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister appreciated the Youth Services and Sports Department for their meticulous planning and comprehensive arrangements for the mega event. He extended his best wishes to all participants and emphasized the importance of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork, and holistic development among the youth.
Highlighting the government’s vision, the Chief Minister reaffirmed J&K’s commitment to promoting sports infrastructure, youth engagement, and talent nurturing, aiming to provide young athletes with opportunities to excel at state, national, and international levels.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed a vibrant display of march-pasts, cultural performances, and sporting demonstrations, setting the stage for a week-long celebration of athletic excellence and healthy competition among students.
