Kashmir, October 6,2025-In a significant initiative promoting health and social responsibility, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with FICCI-FLO, organised the ‘Jammu Half Marathon 2025’ to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and substance addiction. The marathon, held at Jammu city, witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, students, and fitness enthusiasts, reinforcing the message of a drug-free society.
The event featured multiple categories for runners, including men’s and women’s half marathon, 5K fun run, and special runs for youth and community groups. Participants carried banners and placards highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyles and the perils of drug consumption.
Addressing the gathering, senior officials from J&K Police and FICCI-FLO representatives emphasised the importance of community engagement in combating drug abuse. They called upon families, schools, and local organisations to join hands in fostering awareness, early intervention, and preventive measures.
The marathon also included cultural performances and interactive workshops on addiction prevention, aiming to educate youth on making informed choices. The event successfully combined sports, social awareness, and community participation, making it a landmark initiative in Jammu’s fight against drug abuse.
