Srinagar, 30 September 2025: The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences joined the global community in observing World Heart Day 2025 under the theme “Don’t Miss A Beat.” The campaign focused on raising awareness about cardiovascular health and the importance of making informed lifestyle choices to prevent heart-related diseases.
Doctors and health experts at SKIMS emphasised the growing need for timely diagnosis, healthy dietary habits, regular physical activity, and stress management to reduce the risk of heart disease, which remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. Special awareness drives, medical check-ups, and interactive sessions were organised to engage the public and highlight preventive measures.
The event witnessed participation from medical professionals, students, and the general public, reinforcing the message that collective efforts and lifestyle changes can significantly improve heart health.
