Pampore, 29 September 2025: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Pampore, successfully hosted a two-day Youth Parliament session aimed at nurturing leadership skills, critical thinking, and democratic values among students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who took on the roles of parliamentarians, ministers, and opposition leaders, debating on key issues of education, environment, healthcare, and social justice. The mock parliamentary proceedings provided young minds with a platform to voice their opinions, learn about parliamentary procedures, and engage in constructive discussions.
Teachers and faculty members appreciated the initiative, noting that such programs help in developing communication, research, and problem-solving skills among students. “The Youth Parliament is not just an academic exercise, but a step towards creating responsible future citizens who can contribute meaningfully to society,” said a school representative.
The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing the best speakers and debaters. The management of BOMIS Pampore reiterated its commitment to organizing more such interactive sessions to inspire youth participation in nation-building and democratic processes.
