Bhaderwah, 28 September 2025:On the occasion of World Tourism Day and as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwara (17th Sept – 2nd Oct), the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) launched a massive cleanliness initiative at Lake View Resort, Gatha and other popular tourist destinations in the valley.
The drive witnessed active participation from tourism stakeholders, hoteliers, local community members, and officials, who collectively pledged to promote eco-friendly tourism and make Bhaderwah a tourist-friendly destination.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO BDA, J.S. Jasrotia said:
“Despite the recent monsoon damages, our infrastructure has been swiftly rebuilt. Bhaderwah Valley is fully prepared to welcome visitors again. I appeal to all stakeholders to ensure that every tourist experiences the valley as a clean, green, and hospitable destination.”
The initiative aims not only at restoring cleanliness but also at strengthening Bhaderwah’s reputation as the “Chota Kashmir of Jammu & Kashmir”, known for its breathtaking landscapes, lakes, meadows, and cultural heritage.
Authorities also urged the public to actively participate in maintaining hygiene and supporting sustainable tourism practices. The campaign is expected to give a major boost to tourism in the valley ahead of the autumn and winter tourist season.
