Poonch ,25 September, 2025-As part of the ongoing nationwide awareness campaigns on Centrally Sponsored Schemes , an Integrated Communication Outreach Programme was inaugurated at Government Degree College, Surankote, Poonch. The event was inaugurated by Tazim Akhter, Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Poonch, in the presence of officers, students, and local participants.
The awareness exhibition was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Poonch (J&K), under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
Ghulam Abbas, Director, CBC J&K and Ladakh, presided over the function and emphasized that the Government of India is committed to uplifting the poor through various centrally sponsored schemes, which have brought about a revolution in governance, welfare, and socio-economic transformation across the country.
The outreach programme highlighted flagship schemes related to healthcare, education, women empowerment, skill development, and rural infrastructure, ensuring that people at the grassroots are made aware of opportunities and benefits available to them.
