Shopian, 23 September, 2025 : The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Shopian, successfully completed the third batch of the Management Development Programme (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme.
A total of 20 candidates successfully completed their training, which focused on entrepreneurship development, business management, and skill enhancement. The programme aimed at equipping aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools required to run sustainable and competitive enterprises in the region.
Officials from JKEDI Shopian highlighted that the MDP under the RAMP scheme provides participants with hands-on exposure to areas such as financial management, marketing strategies, enterprise growth, and government support schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from the District Administration Shopian commended the efforts of JKEDI in fostering a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and encouraged trainees to apply their skills in establishing successful business ventures.
Participants expressed gratitude to the trainers and mentors, stating that the programme has boosted their confidence to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurship as viable career options.
The RAMP scheme, supported by the Government of India, aims to strengthen the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector through targeted interventions, training, and capacity-building programmes.
