Srinagar, 22 September , 2025: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah unveiled the special edition “Peace Jersey” of Real Kashmir FC, designed in collaboration with the iconic Danish sportswear brand Hummel, at the TRC Ground Srinagar.
Speaking at the launch event, the Chief Minister said the initiative reflects the power of sports in fostering peace, unity, and community spirit across Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised that sport remains a vital tool to bring people together, transcending barriers of region, religion, and language.
The new jersey’s design takes inspiration from the historic Hari Parbat Fort. Featuring a sky-blue base symbolising peace, it represents hope, resilience, and the collective spirit of Kashmir. Omar Abdullah reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure in J&K, noting, “Sports are a vital bridge for peace.”
Officials of Real Kashmir FC and representatives of Hummel expressed confidence that the “Peace Jersey” will inspire young athletes and reinforce the club’s identity as a symbol of positivity, resilience, and global recognition for Kashmir through football.
The launch was attended by sports enthusiasts, players, and community members, marking yet another milestone in J&K’s growing sports culture and the government’s vision of promoting peace and development through athletic platforms.
