Srinagar, September 6, 2025: A joint delegation of the Shree Sadhu Ganga Asthapan Trust, Kandi Khass, and the Shri Sharda Asthapan Trust, Gund Gushi Kupwara, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Srinagar.
During the meeting, the delegation raised several issues concerning the development, preservation, and promotion of religious sites in Kupwara district. They also highlighted the need for improved infrastructure, facilities for devotees, and restoration works at the revered shrines.
The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to the members of the delegation and assured them that their genuine concerns would be addressed on priority. He emphasised the government’s commitment to preserving Jammu and Kashmir’s spiritual and cultural heritage and ensuring better facilities for pilgrims.
The meeting reflects the administration’s continued outreach to religious trusts and community representatives to promote harmony, safeguard heritage, and encourage spiritual tourism in the region.
