Budgam, August 30, 2025 – In a proactive step to ensure seamless celebrations of the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi , Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat IAS, conducted a thorough review of the arrangements at the revered Ziyarat Sharif Peth Makhama. The visit underscores the district administration’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for devotees and maintaining public safety during the festivities.During the inspection, Dr. Bhat directed all concerned officers to prioritise uninterrupted power supply, adequate water availability, robust sanitation measures, and emergency support services. He emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts among departments such as Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited , Jal Shakti, Municipal Committee, Health, and Fire & Emergency to prevent any disruptions and ensure a hassle-free experience for the gathering crowds. Special instructions were given to deploy medical teams, ambulances, and fire tenders at key locations to handle any unforeseen situations.
The DC also interacted with local community members and shrine authorities, highlighting the need for enhanced security protocols, traffic management, and cleanliness drives around the shrine premises. These measures are in line with the broader preparations across Jammu and Kashmir for Eid-e-Milad, observed on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).On this occasion, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat extended warm greetings to the people of Budgam, urging them to embrace the spirit of unity, compassion, and devotion.
