SAMBA, August 30, 2025: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS), conducted an extensive tour of rain-affected areas in the district, including Mananu, Papad Mod, Sumb Road, Tanwar Post (Ramgarh), and nearby regions, to assess damages caused by recent heavy rainfall. The visit aimed to evaluate the impact on infrastructure, houses, and crops while ensuring prompt relief and rehabilitation for affected families.During her tour, DC Sudan interacted with local residents, addressing their concerns and assuring them of the district administration’s full support. She directed officers from the Revenue, Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power, and Rural Development Departments to expedite damage assessments and prioritise the restoration of essential services, such as water, electricity, and road connectivity, in the affected areas.
The DC emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to provide immediate relief to displaced families and instructed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for food, shelter, and sanitation at relief centres, including the Community Hall in Samba, where several families have been temporarily accommodated. She also stressed the timely completion of restoration works to mitigate further hardships.This proactive response underscores the district administration’s commitment to supporting rain-affected communities in Samba, with a focus on swift recovery and rehabilitation.
