Jammu, 24 August, 2025: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was unable to visit the cloudburst-affected areas of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on account of inclement weather. Instead, he reviewed the situation in Chishoti village through video conferencing from Jammu.
During the review, Rajnath Singh expressed satisfaction over the timely and coordinated response of the State administration, Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, and J\&K Police. He lauded their excellent work in handling the crisis and ensuring the safety of people in the affected areas.
The Defence Minister assured that the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is leaving no stone unturned to provide relief and rehabilitation for the victims of this tragic incident.
The Kishtwar cloudburst has caused extensive damage to life and property, and multiple agencies are engaged in ongoing rescue and relief operations to support the affected families.
