From the serene waters of Dal Lake in Srinagar, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha flagged off the Tiranga Yatra, a vibrant walkathon to the Botanical Garden, marking a significant moment in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. This event united thousands from diverse backgrounds—youth, women, public representatives, NCC cadets, and officials from the J&K Police, security forces, and various departments—to honor the National Flag, a powerful symbol of India’s unity, pride, and shared identity.In his impassioned address, LG Sinha declared, “Tiranga is my Dharma. Tiranga is my strength. Tiranga is my heartbeat,” encapsulating the profound emotional and spiritual connection to the tricolor. Quoting, “कर्म हेतु इस धर्म भूमि पर लें फिर फिर हम जन्म सहर्ष – For the sake of duty, may we again and again take birth on this holy land. Bharat Mata Ki Jai!” he expressed unwavering devotion to the nation. His words ignited a wave of patriotism, resonating across Jammu & Kashmir, from the Jhelum to the Chenab and the peaks of Pir Panjal to Harmukh.LG Sinha paid heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters and brave hearts of the Army, CAPFs, and J&K Police, whose sacrifices ensure the tricolor flies high. He urged citizens to celebrate the nation’s successes while reflecting on their duties, emphasizing the need to build a modern and prosperous Jammu & Kashmir on the foundation of these sacrifices. Highlighting transformative progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he noted that the region has entered a new era of inclusive development. “With renewed self-confidence, the people of J&K are writing their own destiny, realising the unfulfilled dreams of generations,” he said, underscoring the region’s journey toward peace and prosperity. The Tiranga Yatra showcased enthusiastic participation, reflecting the success of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan in fostering patriotism across the Union Territory. LG Sinha lauded the contributions of youth, Nari Shakti, public representatives, and various departments, noting that events like the Tiranga Mela, Tiranga Concerts, and Tiranga Bike Rallies have celebrated freedom fighters and spread messages of peace and national unity. The Weaves & Threads Activity in schools, colleges, and neighborhoods has inspired a sense of purpose among the youth, further strengthening the campaign’s impact. Encouraging participation in the third phase of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, LG Sinha described it as a campaign embodying the dreams and aspirations of the youth and a pledge to make Jammu & Kashmir a leader in every field. “The tricolor will fly high on government buildings and homes across J&K, celebrating our ideals and unity,” he affirmed. The event also featured a felicitation of Kargil War Heroes and the release of a Monograph honoring Jammu & Kashmir’s martyrs. A Tiranga Concert paid tribute to the nation’s heroes, rekindling the spirit of the Indian freedom movement.
