BARAMULLA, August 14, 2025 – In a vibrant display of national pride, the streets of Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, came alive with a tricolour-filled bike rally on August 11, 2025, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ campaign ahead of India’s 79th Independence Day. Organized by the Baramulla Police, the rally saw enthusiastic participation from local youth, bike enthusiasts, and police personnel, who rode through the town’s main streets, waving the Tricolour to spread messages of unity, peace, and patriotism.Vibrant Celebration of National Spirit The Tiranga Bike Rally, flagged off from District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla, traversed key routes including Cariappa Park, Azadgunj, Chakloo, and Kralhar, before concluding peacefully at the starting point. Hundreds of bikers, adorned with Tricolour flags, filled the streets with patriotic fervor, chanting slogans and singing songs that honoured the nation’s freedom fighters. At the rally’s culmination, participants took a solemn national pledge to contribute to a developed India, uphold unity, honor martyrs’ sacrifices, and commit to the nation’s progress and prosperity.Part of Broader Patriotic Wave The bike rally complemented a massive Tiranga Yatra in Baramulla, where over 12,000 citizens carried a 2.5-km-long Tricolour from Saint Joseph School to Showkat Ali Stadium, led by DC Minga Sherpa and SSP Gurinderpal Singh.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the event, stating, “More than 12,000 people joined Tiranga Yatra in Baramulla. Citizens from all walks of life were carrying 2 km-long Tricolour. Together they marched with heads held high, hearts swelled with pride. #HarGharTiranga.”DC Minga Sherpa highlighted the region’s transformation, noting, “The youth of Kashmir are now experiencing a liberated environment, openly hoisting national flags and singing the national anthem with love and dignity, free from fear.”
