Kupwara, August 9, 2025 – In a vibrant display of patriotism and national unity, a Mega Tiranga Rally was held at Teetwal, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. The event, marked by a 1.5 km-long National Flag, saw hundreds of students, officials, and local residents unite in a powerful demonstration of pride in India’s Tricolour.The rally, organized with the coordination of the district administration, police, and Indian Army, transformed a once fear-gripped border region into a symbol of resilience and national pride. Participants, including schoolchildren and community members, marched through Teetwal, singing patriotic songs and showcasing cultural performances, drawing attention even from across the LoC in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Kupwara District Collector Shrikant Balasaheb Suse emphasized the event’s significance, stating, “This rally was organized in a border village, a zero border village, so it holds special importance. With the coordination of children, employees of different departments, and officers, we conducted this Tiranga rally with about 1.5 km long national flag successfully.”Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the nationwide enthusiasm for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, posting on X, “Glad to see #HarGharTiranga receiving phenomenal participation across India. This shows the deep patriotic spirit that unites our people and their unwavering pride in the Tricolour.”
The Ministry of Culture echoed this sentiment, highlighting the campaign’s reach from Kashmir to Lakshadweep, urging citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes from August 2 to 15.The rally also featured a cleanliness drive, aligning with the government’s “Cleanliness is Service” message, reinforcing civic responsibility alongside patriotism. In Udhampur, students contributed by crafting handmade flags, with participant Mubina Kausar expressing pride: “We will feel very proud when we wave our national flag, which we will prepare ourselves.”The Teetwal rally, a testament to India’s unity and strength, underscores the transformation of border areas into beacons of patriotism, resonating with the spirit of a new, confident India as it approaches its 78th Independence Day.
