Kashmir, August 6, 2025 —Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly constructed Kartavya Bhawan in the heart of New Delhi, a state-of-the-art government complex aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and inter-departmental coordination.
The event was attended by senior ministers, bureaucrats, and dignitaries from across the country. PM Modi unveiled the plaque and took a tour of the premises, which will now serve as a modern hub for key government departments.
“Kartavya Bhawan is not just a building, it is a symbol of our commitment to duty (‘kartavya’) and good governance. It will enhance productivity and serve the people better,” said PM Modi during the inauguration.
Kartavya Bhawan is designed with green building technology, energy efficiency systems, and modern infrastructure to support seamless communication among various ministries. It is expected to house multiple central government offices, reducing redundancy and promoting integrated decision-making.
The project reflects the government’s vision for “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” and is in line with the Digital India and Smart Governance initiatives. The new facility also includes digital command centers, collaborative meeting spaces, and secure networks to facilitate efficient policy implementation.
The inauguration of Kartavya Bhawan marks yet another milestone in the government’s mission to modernise India’s administrative infrastructure and improve service delivery to the citizens.
