This is the first time I have come to Amarnath Yatra and the arrangements made by the Amarnath Shrine Board and the Government that I saw here are worthy of praise, said a male pilgrim. The Health department has made very good arrangements for the yatra. Pills are available at every corner here. If anyone has any physical problem, immediate action will be taken with the help of medicines. Medical team is ever ready for prompt action, observed another pilgrim.
Today, we had a patient who had nail extraction done, said a female doctor at the Health camp. So we operated on her and took out the nail. We gave her injectible medicines, anesthesia and everything and bandaged the area. Most of the patients come with dehydration issue or they come with oxygen deficiency or symptoms of mountain sickness, the doctor said. Most of the patients we are able to treat. We have refferred only one or two patients in the last ten-twelve days.
